Genome Valley, India's first organised cluster for life sciences R&D, is being scaled into the world's largest integrated pharmaceutical and biotech hub under the CM's vision.
The cluster already hosts over 200 companies — including global giants like Novartis, Sanofi, and Bharat Biotech — conducting cutting-edge research in vaccines, gene therapy, and biosimilars.
Hyderabad produces more than one-third of India's vaccines and a significant share of global generic medicines, earning the city its title as 'Vaccine Capital of the World'.
New expansion plans under this government include a dedicated mRNA research corridor, a biologics manufacturing park, and India's first cell-and-gene-therapy production facility.
